There is no yotes in goldendale this time of year :chuckle: They are very hard to call and everyone think they can drive down the road and blow a call and call coyotes. Who's place are you going to be hunting? If you are around goldendale 95% of the ground is private. Let me know and maybe I can help ya out.

Predator tend to respond to distress sounds because of the distress in them and not really to the type of animal that made them.  In heavily called areas or places that I am calling after just a short time since being there befor I will use sounds that are completely foriegn to the area and get very good responces.  Use what you are comfortable with, then branch out if your not getting responces.

I don't know when the last time your friends deer hunted up there. But about 75% of the ground that was open is now closed. The public ground sold to a private guy and he has shut a lot of it down. There is still some area up there that you can hunt. But a lot more private since last year. There are some yotes around, they are just a pain in the butt to call this time of year. If you are hunting up there be careful what you shoot. A lot of times in that area you will call in dogs "the pet kind" :chuckle:
