Slicer or Vacuum packer?

I am saving and will end up with both at some point, but gotta fill the cookie jar first!

have been making alot of BBB and CB, the slicer sure would be nice, But you guys are killing me with the vacuum packed meats.

Vacuum packer first.  You can always use a sharp knife until the slicer is in the budget.  :twocents:   Sucking air out of ziploc bags with a straw used to get old. :chuckle:

Definitely the vacuum sealer.  Keeps the smokiness from escaping to other things in the freezer.  I now vacuum seal EVERYTHING smoked.

Buy the vacuum sealer new.  Find a slicer at a thrift store...Check brands like oster, etc on ebay, can find a used one cheap, get a new blade, and your good to go...
