STRING A BOW "DIY"

i have a pse firestorm light and yes it is my choice not financial reasons for owning the short fat little thing butttTTT. While i was teaching my little brother to pull it back he dropped it and the string popped off...Do ANY OF YOU GUYS KNOW HOW TO RESTRING A COMPOUND W/O A BOW PRESS OR THE LIKE ????

I'd take it to a shop or find someone nearby with a bow press.  Generally, you want to back off the limb bolts a few turns, then put the bow in the press.  Once you take the load off the limbs, you can inspect the cam and string for damage - replace if there are cut strands - then get it all back in the grove, so to speak.  Keep the bow string taut (by pulling out the slack) as you reduce the tension on the bow press.  Let the string follow until you get to brace.  draw the bow a couple times to make sure everything is working properly, then crank it back down to shooting weight.  Hope that helps.

Take it to a shop! let them get it back together, + put it back in time. Doing it yourself can do more damage!

a buddy of mine used a ratchet strap when he was in a pinch and that worked just fine

You'll still probably be out of timing. You will end up taking it to a shop any IMO.
