Grande Ronde Vista?
« on: March 04, 2011, 07:28:05 PM »
I was reading the proposed 2011 big game regs on the wdfw website and came across a new block of special permits and land owner permits named "Grande Ronde Vista".  Being the "coastie" that I am, I had never heard of this property.  Anyone have the scoop? Just curious....

Don't know for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if it is the same property as the 4/0 Cattle Company tags that were in there in years past but not the last few.  They may have just changed names or ownership, although land that big doesn't often change ownership.  There could be other huge landowners further downriver that I don't know about, but I'd be surprised if the hunting would be as good as the 4/0 land was based on location.  If it is further downstream, then it could be dynamite muley country.  Be careful to call before applying to see what the access fee per day is going to cost.

I would too if I had an unlimited supply of beer like that.  Guess I don't know where their land is.

4 0  is owned by Mike ODOM, not the direct Odom brewing Company but envolved.

I'm just jealous is all.  I wish I had the land they do, and I wish I had the brewing company they do.

I was looking for the season 2011 reg proposal, I don't see it anywhere! Where did you locate them at?

Go to latest news on WDFW website, click on Spokane meeting at top of list.  Then scroll down to bottom and click on Game Regulations 2011. Once there click on CR-102.  That will take you to a long list pdf file of proposed changes and regulation adjustments proposed for 2011.

it will be the land behind cottonwood hatchery and beyond.. think there are several owners. The 4-0 company people suck. I have ran into them fishing for 20+ years. I have friends who leased land near theres for elk, they block roads and check you as if they are the police, they scan 2 way radios for huters and harass hunters, so my friends have started screwing with over the radio..quite comical :chuckle:
