Had the name long before Diesel trucks were popular, started with the movie of the same name
I bought my first powerstroke when diesel was 99 cents a gallon.
I looked at the duramax but did not like the price or front end back in 07

No just the look
The motor and tranny are good the back seat on the 4 door short boxes are excellent and otherwise it would be my choice for a new truck just really spendy if you ask me.
I got a sweet deal on my Ford and was not looking for a brand new truck when I bought it
Its had a couple of BS problems, worst being head gasket, design flaw on bolts vs studs
warranty covered it
Another stupid Ford thing is no standard equipment block heater I can find and I have looked.
I heard they were only installed as an "option"

I'm not positive but I thought all the Ford Diesel's had the block heater but only some of them actually had the harness with the plug installed on it?  My Dad and buddy both have '05's and they had the heater but no plug installed.  Had to buy one for like $35 I think..

:yeah: I believe he is right, look inside the frame rail for the harness, had a customer with an 04 and the dealer told him his did not come stock with one. I rolled under it and it had the whole 9 yds. the harness was balled up and zip tied to the frame.

The heater is standard on the Dodge trucks. The cord for the heater is an option.
