Worksmanship is nice , not to sure about doing mounts like that though. Still it is very creative. Probably nice to do something a little different then the norm . Nice work.
I know.  I wasnt very keen on the whole idea at the begining but hey, if the price is right.  I seem to get a positive response from anyone that looks at.  I've even had two other requests for mounts like this or similar.  Dont know that i'll do them though.  This took more time than I have to spare right now.  Lots of alterations to make it work.

I think that is very disrespectful to the animal. I wouldn't hunt with someone that would have that in their house. Kinda pisses me off.

Are you a hunter or a killer? Most of us respect the game we take, and feel a little remorseful every time we take an animals life. We do have bigger problems in this world, but this attitude of disrespect is conveyed in all manners of society. So, disrespecting an animal this way gives more fuel to the anit's that want to prove that us hunters are a bunch of ignorant rednecks.

I don't have any problem with it. What's the difference then throwing the horns in a box and stuffing them in the attic? Some people don't even keep the rack. Besides... I'm sure the meat got eaten. :twocents:

Been hunting over 28 years and always feel a little bit of emotions when I kill something. I am a HUNTER and KILLER .....
I can see your side but, I just don't see it your way....

I do not find it disrespectful or disgraceful.  It's not my cup of tea and I have no desire to do one.  I can thing of quite a few other things that fall under those lines.

Guess he should have just cut the rack off and thew it in the barn and junked the hide. :dunno:

Everyone has a right to their own opinion, that is one of the wonderful things about living in a free country. I love a beautiful mount that is done tastefully. That mount, to me, is good workmanship, wasted.

I wouldn't pay for it... But using you line of thought  7mag  Everyone should be a purest.  Do the deer mounts with a corn cob pipe and staw hat bother you too? I'm definalty a killer when it comes to coyotes I'll sling lead at them any chance i get... I might have some pure blood ring through me tho because i bow hunt for deer and elk and have passed on many does.  :dunno:
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Don't take it the wrong way, I'm definitely no purest. It's one thing to toss a rack in the attic or in a box or something, or maybe even the straw hat and pipe, can be funny, but to go out of your way and pay a lot of money to deface an animal is a little much. It does bother me if some venison gets freezer burnt before I eat it. I shot a grouse last fall with my 12 gauge, and accidentally hit it in the body, blew it apart. That bothered me a little, what a waste. I know it's just a grouse, but I should have been more careful.

I absolutely love to hunt and fish, and I am extremely grateful that I am afforded the opportunity to do so. I show my gratitude by being respectful.

I know that I am in the extreme minority here, but that's how I feel.

I simply consider it art and to me art isnt necessarily about right or wrong.....why make movie props?  why create fantasy worlds for video games?  may as well just stick with black dots on a green screen  :dunno: what about all the jackalopes  :dunno: btw I want one...lol but now thinking I want a vampire jackalope....

I cant get all worried about all the art I dislike when there is so much that I do like or I can see some merit in what has been created...that deer is simply art and creativity its not so much about preserving a specific deer as it is about creating something  :dunno: :dunno: guess I just dont see the problem at all
