Thats a nice washington whitetail.....hell, anywhere. Very nice BeeMan

Thanks... we watched him a couple years, finally connected.  I owe my brother and bro-in-law for letting me go after him after they had already filled their tags.
There are no stupid questions... just lots of inquisitive idiots!

I think the buck thought he had outsmarted him and was winking at him when he killed him... Probably didn't know he had a late tag... :chuckle: :chuckle:

Yes, it was a very literal "dirt nap".  105 yards, broke both front shoulders.  Died right where he was standing.  Fresh till too... :chuckle:

He hadn't actually rubbed off all his velvet, so they were really white, with strips of velvet all over them (shining in the sun those white antlers looked a LOT bigger than they actually were).  When he dropped he twisted his head around and landed on it, squirting blood all over them.

I'd go with me next year too if I still had permission to hunt that same ranch.   :'(The guy I hunted with went through a divorce and the land was in her family, not his.
Damn him.  She wasn't that bad... he could have at least held out for a couple more years with her... :bash: :bash:

Yeah, I tried that.  I had the "Think about what this will do to the kids" talk with him.  Just take the standard speech, and every time you would use the word "kids", replace it with "mule deer"....

didn't work...:chuckle: :chuckle:
