Where to get a knight bighorn?
« on: March 10, 2011, 06:09:17 AM »
I was just wondering where one could get there hands on a Knight Bighorn. I know that within the next few months Knight will be re releasing Bighorns but I want one now :lol4:. If I did have to wait for the re release then does anyone know when they are coming out?  I suppose I could be patient and go and pre-order. Thanks in advance for the help.

Okay I am confused? So I called on this gun and here what I was told. First thing is I was told I needed an FFL and the reason is, is because I am on the otherside of the state (bremerton area). The gun dealer said because it's an inline it would have to be shipped to an FFL dealer. The second thing he told me was the gun was not legal for the state of washington because it is an inline and inline are illegal in the state of washington. I am not sure he knows awhat he is talking about or I am confused because I own 2 inlines a T/C Northwest Explorer (which I want to get rid of) and a Traditions Vortec. Like I said earleir I am just looking to get my hands on a Bighorn but alas I guess I will have to wait and pre order and be patient or try and get this whole thing of what is legal and what is not legal in washington. Pretty sure that gun is legal in this state just not the 209 ignition. Please help clear this up I don't want to buy a Knight Bighorn and have it not be legal.

Thanks

The guy is full of crap. The Knight is legal, as are any inlines that have the proper ignition and the cap exposed to the elements. Its also a muzzleloader so I think he is even fuller of crap because it doesnt have to go through an FFL.Guys like that just piss me off. :bash:

There are a lot of guys on here that hunt with Bighorns including myself. And I didnt have to fill out any paper work for the 2 that I have bought.

:yeah: The guys either retarded or doesn't want your business. Check around. I'm not sure if Bobs sporting goods in Longview still has any but you could check. Or possibly that muzzy shop in Puyallup. I don't remember their name. Also check out any of your local pawn shops. Bremerton is a navy town. People move and tend to get rid of stuff. You may want to check it out. You could get a good deal.
It's not the size of the trophy that make's it a trophy.

You may just be one person in this world. But you may be the world to just one person.

Well after some thought I went ahead and called him back. At that point he told me that he wasn't a blackpowder hunter or shooter for that fact to which i responded well I would still like to purchase the gun because i am going to make it legal to hunt with in the state (change the 209 ignition). He still insisted I find a ffl to which i did (still doesn't make sense but oh well :dunno:). Anyway I don't want to rag on anyones business or detour anyone from giving that place future business I guess in his defense he just didn't know. So yeah the gun ships to the ffl today :IBCOOL:. I should hope to have it by monday or tuesday at the latest. However I am still going to be on the lookout for a Bighorn or go ahead put a deposit on brand new one.
