Can't log off?
« on: March 13, 2011, 01:17:20 PM »
When I visit this site, I only log in if I'm going to post or browse the classifieds.
As of last night I'm unable to log off. The site will not let me. I can clear my cache which will "sign me out" but when I return I am automatically signed in.
This has never happened before. How do I sign out.

I just clicked the logout link on the top menu and it immediately logged me out, I had to log back in to get back in to do this post.

I have the same problem. There is no "Logout" listed in the header.

Why are you guys worried about whether or not you are logged in?
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I suspect your computer screen has a resolution setting which moves it off the edge of the screen and out of view. It doesn't sound like the same issue anyway. One option is you can set the resolution higher and maximize your browser window to fill up the whole screen. Another is to try this link http://hunting-washington.com/classifieds/misc.php?action=logout

When we do a forum upgrade the menu will change in such a way that it should work on most any computer screen. The recent addition of the "Classifieds" in the menu is likely the culprit as it would push that menu item off your view under certain conditions. This was my reasoning for not placing it in the menu area to begin with. We'll be planning an upgrade April 2nd.

I'm good now.
I really can't explain it. It's never happened before.   :dunno:  Even after I was able to log off which after resetting safari for the tenth time and restarting the computer....it would show my user name on the list of members being online and my little square was geen.  :dunno:
 Who knows??   :)

As far as logging off it's just a habit, I log off of all sites that are password protected like the bank, email etc., as well as removing temp internet files etc.

Thanks for trying to help.

Sounds like you were logged off to me. Sometimes the who is online list cannot capture when someone logs out, but it doesn't mean you are still logged in under every circumstance just because your name is listed there. If you cannot read your private messages you are logged out.
