I know that is the law and it really sucks for us honest guys who wouldn't poach just for a dead head.  But here's my question to WDFW......What self respecting scum who WOULD poach it, mark the GPS coordinates, and come back for it next year is going to follow the law about not picking up dead heads?



This has been my argument about this law.  A guy will go through all that and then break the law again and pickup a dead head.  Doesn't make any sense.  I think that it has more to do with the argument of these dead heads will be eaten by small animals.

so the truth comes out, the wdfw wants us to buy a salvage permit incase we come across a dead head, well i will be honest with all of you if i found that i would take it home with me, sorry if that offends any of you, thats just my  :twocents:

You can only get a salvage permit for educational purposes, she's a teacher.  BTW, I'd keep it too....
