zwizard, not sure what you have on the bighorn but you might take a look here and see if yours is like tho ones pictured, clik on veiw on the page.

Williams sent me some fiber optic sights for my TC NW explorer.  The Front sight was a complete replacement, but the rear sight was just the blade.  Thompson Center told me they were not available. They fit great, came fast, and the cost was around $30.

I use the Williams FP peep sight on my MK85 and the Big Horn...



The FP is a very good peep site and has 1/4" clicks for both windage and elevation.

The front sight is a Williams fiber optic bead and not shown in the picture I have added hood that is open at the top to light up the front bead.



I will try to get a picture posted with the hood...

That is a nice set up.  I have Williams Fire Sights on my gun, but I always wonder if there is a better way to go.  At 100 yards I can stay in a pie plate, but can't dial in real tight groups.  The fiber optics look like big blobs to my eye.  That peep sight might be the ticket.

I am hoping you like the sight picture you get between the two sights as much as I do.  It really make it easy to point and shoot.  Often folks think the hood might limit you view but instead it presents you a concentrated area to put the bead on.

How much smaller in diameter is that front sight then the stock one that came on it? I really like the hood, but can't talk myself into spending that much money just for that feature. If the front sight we smaller and didn't cover up a one foot area at a hundred yards I think I could take the plunge.

If you go with fire sights, the hood is a good idea.  I'm on my second front sight & I have to be real careful not to damage it when in the brush.

Thanks for posting pics of your setup Sabotloader.  I also use the Williams FP rear peep site.  Knight had sent me a taller replacement front site (w/ green fiber optic), but it bent easily while hunting (one of the serious downsides to these type of sites - they are a bit fragile).  I'd also like to get that same front slide and fiber optic bead setup from Williams.  Do you know the part number for it?

I did exactly what Sabotloader did in his photos and now I can shoot the eye out of a fly at 100yrds. I however had a problem with my front sight hood, it fell off today. Should I put some kind of lok-tight on it before sliding it in place?

Thanks for this post.  I have a Traditions Evolution and hate the sights.  I will give these a good look at.  I like what I see so far.
