What tools do you prefer for knaping?  I know there are tools on the market for this as well as antler.  I am self taught as well and getting better.  Just curious.

I do some with traditional hammer stone and antler billets. Most of the time I use a copper pressure flaker and copper boppers.

Here are a few that I've worked on. First is a deer antler handle for a homemade knife and metal match combo. Second are some arrow points made out of moose antler for a self bow and arrow set. Last is a deer handle and elk for-leg bone knife.

Cool! I have a project in mind to do a couple elk antler knives. Never done it before so I need to research it abit more.

Here is one that my buddy made for my folks. The bottom two are a matching 6x6 and the top horn is a monster single 8. He did a great job. Routed in the power cord down the back and then puttied over it and cut up part of another horn for the pull cord on the lamp. My folks love it.
