what size bullet (7MM rem mag)

I attended the RMEF banquet in Everett with my Grandpa last night and won a riffle.  Its a Remington 770 in 7mm rem mag.  I know the 770 isn't the best of guns but it is the caliber of rifle I wanted.  My questions are should I try to trade it in and upgrade? And what's the bullet size of choice?   I already have a 7mm08 that I shoot 140 grains out of so I was thinking of shooting the 175 grain out of the rem mag.  Right now the only thing I hunt with a rifle is bear but I wouldn't count out trying modern season for elk.

I would trade it in and upgrade to a Rem 700.  If it were me, I think I'd take it to Cabelas, see what they give me for it, and see what is on their used shelf in the 700 model.

The 160 grain Barnes TSX would be a very good choice.

I am shooting 160gr Accubonds with RL-19 powder. The load is in the Nosler book. Very accurate! I am not a fan of recoil though.
