338 win or 44mag. My dad uses his 44mag but after he saw my bears reaction to a 225gr bullet to the lungs/heart he wants me there to back him up. I put my first shoot in the heart and the bear turned and ran straight at me tell I hit him in the middle of the chest at 30yds.

300 Win Mag.  It is the only rifle I own and hopefully I won't need another one for a long time.  I prefer to shoot the same rifle and know it well.

Honestly it's not very much fun to kill one with a rifle anymore.  I've killed three with a rifle and 5 with my bow.  A heck of alot more fun with the bow.
