Don't forget about checking with the forest service and obtaining the filming permit where needed. If you are selling the video then you need a permit. It is or can be sold by a day basis. You will need to figure out who is paying for that I guess. I have heard of people getting calls from the Forest Service years after they filmed and sold the footage!

I have some elk points built up but I am not interested in drawing attention to increase the odds for us anymore than necessary.  ;)
Good luck!

Filming Elk Hunts is Harder then you would think, practice practice practice.. Ive Effed up my share of good footage.. And remember even more practice.. its one thing filming a deer or a elk heard just standing there, but when you got a screamer coming in with your nervs thumping and your adrenalin kicking in and you want to watch and then you forget your rolling tape, you can Eff everything up...  and zoom in to much or watching and not filming.. blah blah blah.. Its def harder then you would think, espesially if your a hard core hunter, cause you want watch instead of film..  :twocents: Good luck Dude!.. Get all the advise from the people who have filmed hunts that you can..  :twocents:

Or thinking your hitting the record button and its all ready recording and then it pauses it...  :yike:. and a screaming bull comes in and you think you have everything on film then you check and aaahhh effff.. thanks Dad...

& my advice never check your footage while your in the woods on your hunt, cause you can record over your awesome footage you have already taped.. done that too...  If your serious about being hunting video dude, take all that in to count and always have your camera in your bag and practice.. ..  Filming hunts is adicting but can piss you off.. I know this has happend to plenty of other huntin vid dudes.. Good luck again!..  :)
Their going down!!!
