Used to seem every now and then up at our cabin past Ashford but that was over 15 years ago. Saw one a few year back by the Quincy lakes. Saw it from the cliff above dusty, had my 22 but didn't know if fox was in season so it got to live for another day

Called in a grey in ML are a few years ago.  He was so much fun watching him come in we let him walk.  He run quick then hide and run to the nest bush and hide took hima long time to cover 50yds darting from one sage brush clump to another.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

That is really cool! If you are seeing one I would think there is a large enough population to breed. They are a cool little animal.

yeah the dual colored one will make a great mount, havnt picked a pose for it yet though. i really enjoy hunting the sneaky lil buggers. the one that is mounted already ran by me one morning, the 2 on the lawn i called in and the black one i called in for a buddy. it was gorgeous. all black with silver tipped hairs and a white foot. he shot it in sept so it didnt have a very thick hide.
