Not gonna lie, I was thinking the same thing. Ususally snow still up there all over the place
My comment to it not being up the Chiwawa was that when the deer are shedding there is a ton of snow up the Chiwawa river road. Thats all the post was saying not that I know where all the sheds are located or etc.

Seems to me that you are aweful quick to judge people and what they post on here. You come across like a know-it-all, yet I can't remember a single post from you that made me think you spend any time in the woods at all.

Sorry guys, Skyvalley is right. Deer dont shed where there is snow. Too cold on their feet. Everyone take note. Shed lesson number #1- dont shed hunt in units that have snow.

I did head up the Chiwawa River road(clarification)around the 20th of Nov to waist deep snow and there were still a few tracks around but those were heading down. But heck it could have melted and they went back up or was I just dreaming this?
Slinger, I too read the shed rule book. Shed rule #3-Never get out of the truck. This is a very important one as most of my sheds come from under a 1000 ft from the comfy cab of my ol' ford. Q-Why are there so many sportsman at wallmart with binos? A-Slinger gave up my honey hole. Thanks

Probably best if everyone thinks that the snow was waist deep in the hills and all the deer were at Walmart Wintering until last week. Shed rule #2- No horns above 1000 feet. It must be hard for Whitehall to ride his sled around and pick up 100 sheds a week down where there is no snow.
And not the type of tailgating where you are looking to get the sheds out of the back of Shed Studs truck.
