Short video from last season
« on: March 20, 2011, 01:42:42 PM »
I hiked in, for a few nights by myself to try a few spots. Just got camp set up at dusk, day before opener. I was looking at the hillsides around me, convinced the deer were somewhere...when I took down my binos and spotted these coming to check out this intruder. You can see the one doe smelling my fire. They are only bout 20 ft away or so....it was a fun spot to camp. I later figured out that I camped right about at a threeway intersection for deer paths... :chuckle: :chuckle:

I later found that I got to watch mt goats every morning and night on the cliffsides above..it made my day.

Enjoy...

Very cool!  Looks like a great camping spot.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Looks like a good spot, How did you fair  :dunno:

I passed on a smaller 3x4 opening day...I was three miles back and convinced I would see another...it was the only legal buck I saw all season... :chuckle: :bash:

However, the bowl I wanted to hunt (which I passed on, since I saw horse tracks headed to it) sounded like a shooting gallery opening day...wished I could have hunted it...maybe another time.

I am sure I would have seen better bucks, but I dropped my GPS and didnt have contact with anyone after the second day, and I told them I would return the next day, so I left.

It was an awesome experience and I am headed back there next year.
