Read this the other day actually. Wonderful story lol. Atleast he got to keep the trophy afterwards and was a good Samaritan.

Wow - he's got quite a story, and a huge elk rack too. Anybody asks his favorite way to take elk: 2x4...

Amazing. I'll bet we lose a bunch of mature animals year after year due to accidents out in the hills.

Do you think WDFW would have let anyone keep the antlers if this had happened in Washington?

That is pretty amazing, I feel bad for the elk having to go that way but, a great story for the guy that tried to save it.
