got the green light to buy a kit
« on: March 21, 2011, 12:21:56 PM »
Okay,

have a gun Mossberg Shotgun I used last waterfowl season, and that the rust keeps coming back on.  No matter how much light cleaning I do. I want to reblue the gun, but dont know which kit would work the best for a gun that is used only for severe conditions such as waterfowl hunting? if you could provide a direct link to the website that would be great!  Thanks for looking at the post!

Cold bluing from everything I have been able to find is a waste of effort, have you considered gun-kote or something like that?
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

Tear it down and go spend the extra dollar to have it dipped  :twocents:
Or get the green light to go get  new gun  :chuckle: We both know you can't hunt with a old gun  ;)

Thanks for the intel!  Went to that duracoat website, and really like the WWII OD green  HOw effective will that color be for waterfowl hunting on the wetside?  I like the cheap prices and it seems to be a easy process to do.  For the dipping, im not sure of anywhere here or near the Island that does that :dunno:
