Nice job Shannon.  1st time I chked the puter today.  Been butchering half-frozen pieces of mine into roasts or 5 # sausage packages.  Still not done.  I'd never make it as a meat cutter-but what's an old retired dude gonna do w/his time anyway?  Go hunting-the one good thing about getting old is hunting M-F & skipping the weekends.  Well good thing we got lucky this year.  If they open this unit for a Spring hunt next year I think there will be a little more competition.  Wonder what gas will cost by then?  I'm new to WA, do they provide any 4X4 carpool vans?  Hummmm.  Oh well, after a 6 year dry spell I can't get too greedy (or can I?).  Wasn't it 3 yrs for you?  What about you Bearhunter, Hogsniper?

Shannon those pics turned out better than you let on, certainly is a good bear, cant wait to see the mount.  Oh ya it would probably be less than 6month turnaround on the bear, Im probably going to send mine up also.  Glad you fiqured out how to send the cell phone pics.

Shannon, what did you decide??? Is it gonna be a life size or just a half mount??

Well my taxidermy wanted $4,800 for a life size. After I got back up off the floor I decided for a half mount. I found out today I could get it done for much less so I am up in the air. I may be to late since they already prepped it for the half mount. It would have been cool to get the shot on James' video camera. I knew I was going to get something that day because I got 10 miles from my house and realized I forgot my camera and decided to keep on going. Oh well! I will have the mount to remember the day. I have a big chocolate bear lined up on the east side I hope to get this fall. I will have my camera on that one.

Gosh only 25-31 hunting seasons before retirement..I would gladly trade my pension for your age (but you gotta throw in your bear hunting experience).  Actually, I'm happy to be able to get into the woods & pop an occasional bear or deer & then come home & get on this crazy forum.  Raising kids & making a living-retirement will come soon enough-enjoy each year now.  I'm glad my grandsons (1 & 4) have a dad who takes them fishing & is a hunter. 

Now if I could only get this puter to put my avatar picture on the forum...doggone it!!!
