Fletching arrows

What do you guess use to stick your fletchings on? I got some Fletch-tite Platinum but was looking at getting some feather tape. I also heard Quantum XT was some good stuff. I shoot wood arrows and carbon arrows and so far the Fletch-tite is doing a good job but i can never re-use fletchings after i strip em off. Any suggestions?

Never re-used fletchings. I used goat tuff until I found gorilla glue impact tough super glue, it works great on inserts too, cheaper than goat tuff too

I can only speak for wood arrows and feathers. I dont think you could ever reuse fletching,if it even seems remotely possible, you aren't getting a good bond. I use duco cement, it seems to bond excellent with different kinds of finishes,flech-tite seems to prefer flech-tite products. If you choose to use flech-tite tape I would recommend you put glue on the front, back of each fletching for durability, and even a little in the middle. I use to use the tape alot but you cant beat duco cement for durability and long life. It is also hard to get the helical to stay severe with the tape. Hope that helps.

Use new fletchings after you stip the old ones off. i haven't herd of reusing the old fletches.

for the last year and half i have used  LOCTITE  SUPER GLUE ULTRA GEL  it has been the best glue so far have not lost one fletching and is very clean to use.. good luck

Goat tuff and goldtip glue. Those are the two that have worked best for me. Like said always use new fletchings.

Thanks guys! And i like hanging on every dollar so i re-use fletchings on stump shooter arrows and such.

I have used GoldTip "TIP GRIP" for years and have had very few fletch problems. I put a dab of it at the front and back of each vane to add more durability to them. I am currently working on a dozen right now for the girlfriend. Here are the first ones off the press.

This is what I use too.  Same ingredients as most "fletching" glues at a fraction of the cost.

Its good stuff for sure I used to have inserts come out on occasion after arrows have been shot a lot. Not this stuff, I have arrows where the camo wrap is gone on the front and the inserts are still pulling out of carpet targets.

If you have the time, the Fletch Tite Plat is great. I use cheap "gel" super glue for most of mine, can fletch an arrow in about 1 minute... if the surface is nice and clean, they last just fine...maybe not "quite" as well as fletch tite... but dang good.

Not familiar with wood and superglue though....should work OK... I must say this though, I do have more probs with Feathers and superglue than if I'm using plastic fletching. Feathers really like that Fletch Tite or a similar type product.

Another is always wrap your shaft It will help the vanes/feathers stick better and will help you find your arrow after the shot. Another benefit is that a lot of the times with a good wrap, you can see your arrow in flight.

I use either Goat tuff or NPV Arrow mate cement, both work great.

Goat Tuff is really good but you only need a little, because a little goes a long ways.

And I agree on the wrapping arrows, makes it much easier to find, and keeps from damaging the shafts.

Never thought about using used vanes.

X3 on the wraps. You don't scrape your shaft trying to get the old stuff off.
