 :yeah:

I justify it to the wife by telling her that I love her so much I just have to go out and get her the most expensive meat on earth ...

O Yeah. It's my vacation from work and to visit my Mom and Dad. It was nice when all I had to do was start out the back door into the woods. Now I have to drive 438 miles one way. :bash:

yup...    well my yard is a couple nice size fields...  Makes me warm and fuzzy inside knowing I passed em up, so that those road hunters can bag a nice trophy, while I'm hunting miles away

It's 220 miles from my home to the place in the Klickitat where I hunt. I will be towing a 6000lb 28ft travel trailer. Figuring gas at $4.00 a gallon, it will cost about $215.00, I can swing that. I will spend a week hunting with a close and dear friend; that in itself is well worth  the cost. I will be 61 next month, and every year there is one less turkey season for me. If gas hits $5.00 a gallon I will still go spring turkey hunting! (But that is just me.)

Phantom, who won the raffle?

Don't want to jack this thread, but there was a good turn out at the Lake WA NWTF Auction last night in Bellevue.  One gent won a shotgun in a raffle, then pulled the next ticket and picked his own to win a rifle!!!
thats crazy lucky lol!

Stickslingers truck runs off of methane! At least it does when I ride in it :chuckle:
At the end of our trip we figure our birds cost about $15/pound :chuckle:

I live in Central Washington and I am defiantly going to stay here.  If I can get a couple of buddies to car pool farther east then so be it but for the most part drive 15 min from my house and kill me some birds.
