As much as I'd like to claim this as a Washington bear, it's a photograph from my brother's trip to Yellowstone last year.

Ah Hah!!! I knew that thing had to be tame or close to it. Its so fat and disgusting I'm not sure I'd want to eat that thing. It'd sure make for a nice rug though.  :chuckle:

Definitely over 500#... now...you say Yellowstone, but me thinks its one of the tame bears in one of a couple "drive through" bear tour deals we have over here. I saw a bear just like that in one up by Glacier several years ago... "the Great Bear Adventure" or something like that....  So, tame or wild???

I picked this off of another site. As I remember a youth shot this in Oregon somewhere. I absolutely love this picture. LOL



Now this is my 2010 bear. It was a solid 5 footer so it wasn't exactly tiny but look at the difference.  :chuckle:
