WHats the deal with tikka riffles? Any good?

They are awesome. There has been a number of posts asking this very question. You should do a search, you'll find that most folks who own them love them.

A lot of people say the stock feels cheap and I say again; it's because that stock is on the T3 light and its designed to be light. If you dont like the stock by a T3 hunter with wood.

I bought a T3 light for chasing yotes and it is about as close to perfect as you can get for a calling rifle. I dont care if it gets muddied up or scratched, it's accurate as hell, it has an easily adjustable trigger, it's accurate as hell, it's super light, and its accurate as hell.

Dod I mention how accurate it is?

Seriously though it's a great rifle. I was hesitant for a long time because I HATE synthetic stocks but I really wish i would have bought it a years ago.

I bought one a few years ago. It shoots great right out of the box, it is very light to carry all day. I wouldn't sat the stock feels cheap it's just different. It has a more of a fiberglass feel to me. I got mine in a .270 win., the only thing I might caution against is getting it in a heavy  caliber. Because it is a lighter gun it is going to kick like a mule.

I havent had one (yet) a number of people I know swear by them. They are a well engineered tool and when I have held them, quality is the word that comes to mind. That being said, I still like picking up my Rem 700 more

I have a T3 in 30-06.  Accurate, light, wonderful trigger.  It is my "go to" rifle.  I have killed numerous deer, elk, and antelope with it.  I highly recommend them.

I've got a Tikka .243 (although my wife will tell you its hers  ) and its a great rifle.  Shoots amazing.

I have 3 and wouldn't trade them for anything. One in in .300 WSM and one is in .338 WM and I don't think they kick any harder than they would in any other stock. I use LimbSaverws on all my rifles so maybe It makes more difference than I think. 

True: Tikka's are super accurate right out of the box
True: You can carry a T3 Lite all day and enjoy your journey
True: They are a SAKO clone, don't cost as much and are of Sako quality. 
True: Some complain about the Tika scope rings. I don't use them but it is not because I find them cheap. I find that a picatinny rail and Leupold rings give more eye relief adjustmnt. Important to me because I wear glasses

You won't regret buying one.

They are good rifles.  I have a T3 in .270 & .22-250.  They are both very accurate rifles.

that's kinda what I thought too.  I think they are a great rifle for that price range but wouldn't be my first choice of rifles if I was buying one.

That's good to know billy. As I said I don't have any true knowledge of them, but just assumed. Glad to know that if I decide to go with a higher caliber I already know what to get.

Have a T3 .300 WSM love the action and the accuracy.  Have a Vanguard .243 love the accuracy but this thing feels cheap.  The Tikka is very smooth and my only regret is that I didnt save up enough to get the .243 in a Tikka3.
My buddy has a SAKO in a .300 WSM real nice almost identical in every way, only minor upgrades to the SAKO.
You wont regret the purchase!

What's amazing is that for years there were a few Brand Names that were considered the primo manufacturer of weapons. Like Winchester, Remington, Weatherby, Browning, etc. Well I carried several Brownings my last being an A-bolt chambered in 7MM STW. It weighed over nine lbs. and I finally decided to put it in the safe and buy something lighter.
Tikka always seemed like A funny/toylike name to me but when I started doing some research I was amazed. At just a little over six lbs. out of the box, I was drawn closer to a purchase. After more research, I purchased a T3 lite in .243. What a jewel, right out of the box it shot same hole (3 rounds) at 40 yds. just checking for group. After some adjustment and moving back to 100 yds. it shot 3 touching holes. From that point on, I was convinced and now own 3 T3 lites. I also had a similar experience with a Savage 110 right out of the box, but it wqasn't a lite rifle.
I now enjoy the accuracy as well the lightened comfort during long carrys. And I no longer think Tikka is a funny name.

Great rifle,smooth,light,and accurate.I have the 300wsm with a muzzle brake and limbsaver.Shoots very pleasant
