7 x 9 blacktail rack
«

Check out this rack hanging in a local home shop near me. From 1965! The tag was only 2 dollars! Pretty cool, the picture with the airhoses is how it is usually used. I was told it is a blacktail. Sorry I don't have any more details, I know absolutely nothing about scoring so I have no clue, just thought it was cool and I would share.

If that thing truely is a blacktail, he needs to have it scored. Very nice buck either way.

That's weird? The first pict shows as a red X but if I click it I can see it?
Yes I believe the owner said blacktail but I will ask him again before I say it is definitely a black tail. It is wide but the tines are a little thin as if it was from a very old buck. There are three "drop" tines on it at least they look like drop tines they stick out from the sides and go down a little but again I know NOTHING about scoring and what not. I thought he said it was from Whidbey Island but he has a bunch of horns in that shop and that may have been another set. I will check, this is hanging in Snohomish county.

damn nice buck, if it is a blacktail i would be coming up with a cape and having the horns reconditioned and get that baby mounted..... sure looks like a muley though, but i have seen other blacktails that sure looked like muleys but i knew for sure that they were blackies, sure would like to hear the story behind it

Nice rack. Bench leg possibly, but more likely mule deer.

I just asked the owner. It was taken in the Mission Creek area south of Cashmere. You are all correct definitely Muley, Sorry.

I was pretty sure it was a muley when I was looking at it, but that's alright, it's still a really nice buck. Very cool.
