wtf weather
« on: April 06, 2011, 02:54:17 PM »
Is the weather really going to play out like this for the opener? Come on.....  Just give us a week of 59 and sunny, nothing crazy.

no joke. I'm tired of it. give me rain, or give me cold, but wind + rain + cold = bad day.

Not to mention it seems like the forecast up untill, and through the opener, changes drastically everyday.  Im just not strong enough emotionally to handle this rollercoaster :chuckle:

Yep.  Same thing for the Colville area.  Can't tell what it's going to be.  Could be sunny, could be snow.  I'm just bringing everything - snow gear, rain gear, and warm weather gear.  Heck, I'm even throwing in a snorkel and fins, just to be safe...joke.

 :yeah:
Turkey spark nailed it, especially the snorkel. While over for the youth hunt there were geese in every low spot as there was water everywhere! We saw sun, rain, snow and man did it hail, all in about 40 minutes.

Well, I've shot toms in all types of weather including in over 14 inches of snow, our NW monsoons, and in hot weather. You may have to change tactics and location, but the birds are out there and its just a matter of playing the hunting game.  May not be optimum, but us die hard turkey hunters will be out no matter and be putting the hammer down.

I agree T dancer I have killed a bird in a 30 mph wind and raining side ways. You just have to no the property that you are hunting. The weather brings the real turkey hunters out and keeps the kids in side :chuckle:
