Wenaha Snow
« on: April 07, 2011, 08:00:11 AM »
Last Friday night dumped 14" of new.   Then last night it came again,  might be a bit before good access.  We have a hunt planned for 2 tags,  glad to have some real hunters this year that can get it done in there.  Might rig up a zipline  for access.

I drove across the Tucannon yesterday, it is bulging.  I assume it is doing the same the other way.   Last guy I heard of bringing goats in here came out without them.  Scott, I will be getting shoes on by May1  should be soon enough.  There is lots of wood down so I hope someone else beats us up the trail.

I imagine that is another story for a different day.

I am excited to get the chance to go with Charlie and his wife.  Hopefully, I can wear my back out packing a big ol' bear out.

I think pack goats would get us in trouble for baiting   :chuckle:

Looks like 16 inches of snow the past 7 days  :bash: Will it ever warm up.

Sounds like alot of trail clean up  :o

They sure did!  I'd say the snow level was down to about 2,000 ft. yesterday.  Just by looking up there i would say another 3-6 inches of new stuff.

Snowed sideways in Lick Creek unit Wed and Thurs for the entire day both days.  Not a bunch of accumulation, but it sure isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

Heard at one point you could get there, then heard don't even t ry it.

If gas was 2 bucks i would jsut go see, but if anyone has recon that would be MUCh appreciated.
