Those are great Bone. No way I'd do that with less than a 1200 mm lens...

What type of snakes are they?
I know a snake freak that loves garters (obviously those are not garters)
Ill pay 10$ each for puget sound garter snakes... with almost no limit! Maybe I should post that in classifieds??

Thanks Pope. I was thinking about heading to the Rattlers home to get some Rattler shots, but I won't be in macro mode for those. Will have to go back to maximium crop factor.

To eat or what LTL. (live or dead)
These are gopher, or BULL snakes. Not too many Garter snakes around my place. Blue and brown racers, and the occasional rattler. Few Garter snakes out in the woods.

People call them differently. East side ones have the yellow stripes. Have you seen the pic of the one that Klick took. SOme folks call that a garter snake.

Found another one last night that pissed me off. My little lady was collecting eggs and she went to crawl in to get an egg from one of the nests and there was one coiled up in front of the nest. HE DIED. I'm proud of her for not freaking out.

I was told Bull snakes will keep the rattler population down as well. Anyone know if theres any truth to that? Great pics, Bone.
