winthrop sheding
« on: April 08, 2011, 02:49:31 PM »
So my girlfreind and i were thinking about doing some shed hunting over in winthrop this weekend, but wasent to sure where the snow line is this week or if there is any snow at all, not worth going if the sheds are a foot under snow. Anyone know if there is to much snow to shed hunt or should i wait another couple weeks?? thanks!

Lots of snow but no sheds

The lower south facing slopes are clear. Now is a great time if you don't mind driving around. They haven't even started clearing Washington/Rainy Passes yet >:(. Here is a link that gives you a look from (4) webcams, two weeks ago even the valley floor was white, so there has been lots of thawing going on.
