Goldfinch and Purple Finch?

Heck I don't know what they are, that's why I'm asking!   ;)

But yeah I do think the yellow ones are some type of finch, just don't know what kind. They sure do go through a lot of bird seed in a day!

Nice pics.

Thanks!

Actually, American Goldfinch (Carduelis tristis) is the yellow one :) according to my bird book.  Can't choose between the House, Purple, or Cassin's Finch on the other :chuckle:
Nice pics.

Thanks!

I call them Rose Finch and gold finch, but I call some things by names that probably don't exist, like Jenny Wren.

Goldfinch is right, but the other bird is a Rose Finch, not a Purple one. :) You were mighty close though. :)
