Nope, I think it was attacked from behind. I've to some pics that are nothing but fur and one of the side of the bear as he went around the stump. Backside of the stump was torn up a bit and the rest of the strap was a little chewed on.

Cam got hammered. Puncture wound to the front, busted buckle loop on the back, plenty of pics of sky. Cam has been brought in for repairs. Gonna make my own bear box and then get back at it. In the mean time, here are some pics for you all.
Stupid bears.

I feel your pain. I have had bears destroy a camera. Bear boxes or some type of security box made out of steel are the way to go to save your investment.

Borrowed a buddy cam and went to check it. It was messed by a little bear but survived. First pic you can see a deers back. His head was down but I think this is my buck that has been coming in. The rest speak for themselves.

Got my new cam in today from Bushnell. Bear box looks good, got batteries at home, some cob, corn, a trophy rock, and some stump licker. Heading out to replenish the supplies and re hang the cam. I'll post when I get back this evening.

Thanks.
So, here is the new cam all mounted up. The pics don't show the box with the "lid" on. It also has bear deterents sticking out of it and is padlocked to the main body. The cam is positioned over one case of apples, some cob, some cracked corn, a trophy rock, and some buck jam poured all over it like a damn deer lick apple sundae. I'll let it soak for probably two weeks and then check back.
