You must have quite the connection for the apples this time of year. I cant see you buying them at the store for $1.50 a pound. Where do you get them and how much have you spent so far? I was following your other thread, but cant find it now.

The other thread is in Deer section. I've got a market close to my work. I'm at about 50 cents a pound. I usually buy two cases. I've also started looking for and finding folks with apples trees. Figure this fall when things get hopping if I can go pick up free apples out of a few yards I'm good to go.

I don't know. However, if you talk to anyone with deer in the area and trees in the yeard they will tell you they come in and eat them. I would think to a deer an apple is an apple.

The BT at my other property won't touch my apple trees... They are green, pretty sour though... But the peaches and pears get tore up.... They've killed two trees last year trying to shake em to knoock the fruit out!!!!

Thanks, I know there is a little buck in the area. Hoping he comes in so we can watch his antlers grow over the summer.

Yeah, I have a few deer in the area where hunt and I know of 2 big old bucks that I've only been able to glimpse of for the last 2 years. I am hoping to get the Yotes out of the area so that the bucks will come through. I have several does that are pregnant and can't wait to see what the growth will be like when they move around. But, I have first get the Yotes out of there!
