Where does it say 30 days? I've never heard of that.

I'll have to look. I thought the definition of a baited area was 30 days.

RCW 77.15.245. does not state anything about a timelimit. :dunno:

hmm, does it say anything about a defined range or area by distance once an area is baited?

After reading the rcw I still don't know what is defined as timline or distance. Without the aid of bait could mean anything depending on intrepretaion. That is why I'm not taking any chances with bears in the area and hunting them. I'll find them elsewhere and not risk being in trouble because of an intreptation of the law that is not clearly defined.

Not sure but I believe the 30 day timeline applies to waterfowl and is a federal law. I could be wrong but I know I have seen it in the waterfowl regs, never in the big game regs.  :twocents:
