Great deal - Vortex Skyline ED 20-60x80mm Spotting Scope
« on: April 11, 2011, 09:59:46 AM »
On Camofire right now (we'll see how long it lasts). I couldn't pass it up and just ordered it.

The picture they have is NOT the ED glass version, but I went ahead and called them to make sure that it is in fact the ED glass version that they were selling before I ordered and it was confirmed.  Their description and everything aside from the photo was correct as far as ED.  With Camofire you have to compare prices to see if their mark off of retail is in fact greater than that of other stores - a lot of the time it doesn't differ much if at all. Checking around for prices this scope is in fact ~40% cheaper than other stores on the internet (not too far from the 50% off they advertised).

I have been VERY impressed with my Vortex Viper binoculars that I got for Christmas, but have been looking at buying the Leupold Kenai spotting scope.  Woke up this morning and saw this deal though, did some research, and pulled the trigger! Oh, and it comes with Vortex's VIP warranty too!

Can't wait for it to arrive! Hope the guys I talked too were being truthful when they say they are in fact the ED version. It's the only thing that has me nervous - seems too good to be true.  We'll see.

Wow, that is a good deal. I cant do it, I have to look through one first. I need a new spotter. I'll probably regret not buying one when I had the chance.

Just got it in the mail today! It's awesome! I still need to decide on a tripod and head combination and get that ordered to really see how it does.
