I've had them in countries all over the world. And some people can sure f--- them up! However if they are done correctly they are one of my favorite seafoods. I like them seasoned and breaded or lightly battered and they MUST be deep fried in very hot oil; otherwise they soak up too much oil and get soggy.

One time on a deployment to Sardinia, my buddies and I would go to this little restaurant and order calamari and drink beer after work on the way back to the hotel (Yeah I know, it was tough :chuckle:). Man, I myself must have eaten close to 15 lbs of them over a week. Not to mention having a big juicy Horse steak  as a main course. Good times great food; I put on about 20 lbs in two months there. Had to PT my ass off once I got back. :chuckle:

You guys are weak. Best way to have small squid in poke style from Sack and Save in Hilo. Get it Korean style. Of course it's RAW!!! :drool:
