North Skagit in the cold
« on: April 17, 2011, 11:44:56 AM »
Went out yesterday wanting to put up a trail cam but ended up getting my picture taken by someone elses cam and come to find out that my cam's batteries were dead  :bash:. But it was fun playing in the snow.

PS. if anyone has a cam with a goofy kid in sweats pm me  :chuckle:

Cool, I pulled my camera from that spot. If you go back up there and need a spot to hang your cam, that's a good one.

Carp, if you can you need to wait about 3 weeks to really make the trip worth while, the snow is still low, grass has hardly started to grow yet and the bears are few and far between early on, mid May is prime.......

Thanks a lot for the tips, I will however be in new zealand and Cali for almost the whole month of may. So my window is pretty limited, my buddy has been out and has been seeing bears. So I am hoping for the best. If I don't kill a bear it will still be a great trip with friends. I will be up there until the 3rd of may then I leave for NZ on the 7Th. They have taken and seen more then a few bears in the end of April. So we will keep our hopes high, he would like to see me there in mid May but I will be a long gone by then. I appreciate the info.
