Hunting New Orleans????

Hoping somone may have some insight for me.  I was informed over the weekend that I was going to "get to" accompany my wife to a wedding in New Orleans next April.  I informed her that since I loved the humidity and the heat so much, that I was "going to" find something to hunt when we were down there.  I am assuming there are hogs to hunt down there and was wondering if anyone had any advice or recommendations for me.  Thanks for any help.

I dropped some friends off in Baton Rouge over Spring Break (U WI) and headed over to AL for some turkey hunting.  Got my first bird (1986) and had a blast.  Should be turkeys in LA too.  Pigs sound fun as well.

Not sure if you fish but they run charters out of New Orleans too. Might be another option...

 There's hog, turkey, and some gator hunting going that time of year. April is a great time for Redfish and Speckled Trout. Not to mention the crawfish will be at there best!! I lived in N' Awlins for 16 years let me know if you need any help finding a good charter or guide.

Gators, gar, nutria, and hogs.
For fishing, if the timing is right there might still be a lot of yellowfin tuna.  You can get on a boat out of Venice, LA a little bit south of New Orleans and it's about an hour to the rigs.  I want to say that the tuna are there in mass numbers from late Feb to mid/late April.
