It looks like one of those birds from the double is darker. Ecspecially in the pic where they are both laying on the road. Might it be a hybrid or full on rio.  I got one that looked just like it once, but it was very much in merriam territory.

I think a lot of the birds up here are hybrids. I have talked with several people who have told me when they started doing the trap and transfers they weren't to picky about what went where
