Happiness is a little beaver first thing in the morning!!
Put out two traps yesterday and caught two nice beavs this morning. One was a whopper, the other was a good sized beaver but next to the big guy it looks rather small.

I think you should be congratulated on the 51 miles on the ticker meter, and thanks for the picture.

Beaver is legal bait....as far as I know?? Am I wrong? If so set me straight. As far as I know as long as I skin it I can use it.

According to the Idaho regs, beaver are classified as furbearers. I cannot use game animals, so unless you can point me to another section, I can't see where it's illegal to use beaver meat as bear bait. Any help would greatly appreciated. I like to do things above board.

I'd be more than happy to give you one, how do you want it skinned? Just remember it cannot be sold in the raw form, must be tanned first. It would be free since I am not allowed to sell it. These three I already skinned them round, but if you want one for personal use I can skin it however you want and give it to you. In the winter I have the pelts tanned and made into things like hats and gloves for family.
