We were good boys and left it there.  Sure would look nice hanging somewhere though...it was awful tempting to take it home.  What is the penalty and odds of being charged if we were caught bringing it to the truck?

Possession of a big game animal (trophy size) during a closed season with no tag............if they wanted.  Personally, I would call local WDFW, and tell them of your find and show them pics and tell them the whereabouts, and let them you know you'd like to have it.  More than likely, they will let you have it. :twocents:

What a great find.  I think he'd be a low to mid 150 class buck.   Not sure he's an old buck that died of old age.  Got a lot of features of of younger buck that had maybe not yet reached his prime.  Either way, great find.   Nice if you can keep it.
