Is their a lack of waterfowlers on this site?
« on: May 29, 2008, 02:46:17 PM »
Everywher on this site their is always some good discussions going on except for waterfowl. Is their a lack of waterfowlers on here? I admit big game is my passion but I enjoy waterfowl from Thanksgiving till the end of season. But don't get out as much as I would like.

Just started waterfowling two years ago. Love it. Went out almost everyday last season for snow geese and ducks. First time pheasant hunting last season and had a blast. Have two really great labs, which are a necessary for waterfowling or upland bird. Can't wait for this season and my dogs can't wait either.

I hunted the west side last year. Hunted the release sites around duvall and monroe. Grew up in duvall. Always goofed off in the release sites hunting coyotes as a kid.

Don't blame ya. I also hunt private land as that's where the birds go anyways. Never hunt the weekends just during the week. I'd like to hunt the east side, but it's easyer and cheaper (gas) for me to stay over here. Sure would love to get my pup after some chukars though.

One of these day I will.  My wife really wants to hunt ducks, and upland, but we know nothing about it and do not have a dog capable of doing anything but sleeping or peeing on everything in sight.

Didn't know much myself let alone to train a dog. But I've done pretty good at it. Still learning though. Calling is the hardest. My pup had an awesome fisrt year and can't wait to see her in action again.
