The time has come to part with an old friend
« on: April 25, 2011, 05:07:23 PM »
This weekend I got a Private message from a Gentleman on another archery site. He was admiring my photos and asking questions about cameras. :) By the end of the batch of PMs, he had talked me into selling him my good, old, faithful Canon 30D.  :yike: :(

So, I had to get it back from my Youngest Daughter and I shipped it off to him today. :( Now I need to loan my daughter my Canon 40D, but not before my Brand Spanking new Canon 7D gets here!  :yike: :) 8) :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :yeah:

I'm so excited I can hardly wait for the new camera to get here!!!!! :)  :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

Nice Dick, congrats!  I know I was pretty excited when I gave my D80 to my daughter and bought my D7000.

Sorry for your loss Dick!!

Fun times Dick.  Any thought process of why the 7D over any of the Marks or other flagships?

Bone,
The thought process was influenced by my wife. :( She laid the law down on how much I could spend. :( She also wanted the speed of the 7D plus the video capabilities.
She has been trying to learn photography (and I might say doing pretty good ;) :) ). We met a Gentleman out on one of our photo shoots together, That Gentleman had a 5D Mark II and I was asking him about the camera for Birding, etc. He told us to not get the 5D Mark II because of the slower frames per second. You can see where this is leading ;) :)

That was all the explanation that was needed :chuckle: :chuckle:
I was worried when I read the topic it was another sad ending story of someone who had passed..Good luck with the new one
