We are running out of time guys  :bash:  With my son's spring football starting up, I don't know if I will be able to get out again. Someone make it happen!
If you want to make it,
you can't fake it,
you gotta live it.

Well we almost made it happen with just hours to go in the season.  About 5pm this evening my buddy and I rounded a corner and there he stood in the middle of the road, all 3-400 pounds of him!!!  He was a stud!  We both flew out of the truck and my buddy was able to put one round in him as he was attempting to waddle himself off the road.  Tracked blood down into a hell hole and lost it in the bottom near the creek.  He's sick to his stomach and I'm just depressed because it would have made for a great story!  We both drew the archery Quality Bull tag(White River) yesterday and then had a chance to kill a monster the next day!  DAMMERS!

hahaha yep that was us.  We were just up off the 500, less than a mile off the main line.  Good possibility that thing came screaming across the main line after he was hit!  Man this sucks, I don't know that I'm gonna be able to sleep tonight, he was a pig!

I would be going back in there and looking for him some more. I would let someone know about it and then you will be o.k. to go in there and look for it. If you guys only spent a couple hrs looking at last light, you could go back in there and maybe find it. I would not give up so easy.

I think you should go up and look for it again. I mean you hunted this whole season and finally got a shot and to leave it go to waste...... it would be a shame. Thats how I got my blackie this year. found him the next day. they dont go far!

Yea you never know.  Not sure how well he was hit.  We had quite a bit of blood in the beginning and it then just got less and less.  Its nasty, thick, and dark in there too.  I might give Meshoff a call in the morning and see if they'll leave the gate open(they'll lock the walk in areas back up in the morning) and let me take one more peak in there.

No the 500.  It's the first road to your left once you get off that patch of pavement on the main line just past those few houses.  Guess that wasn't you as I thought it was a black Chevy just turning onto the 500 as we were headed out tonight.  Did see a darker colored Ford parked off to the side just up from the gate as we were headed out though.
