Went out yesterday and saw 8 rabbits,3 grouse,17 deer,12 elk and a coyote!

I think I found 4 peels from last year :dunno:  They where all in one general area, is this a good spot to stay in or should I move on ? What time of day is the best for bear activity?

It's probably not a bad idea to concentrate on, would definitley try to find some fresh sign in the near future before spending too much time there.  I like mid day when the sun is gleaming!

I am planning on going back wednesday, this will be my 5th trip into the farm. I feel like I am getting to know the area better each time, I think I will get a little deeper into the timber. Sunday I was up around 3,000 and that is where the snow is. I got snowed on and didn't see 1 track of any animal in the old or new snow. What elevation are you all hunting at? I saw new scat around 1,800-2,000.

I've been spending most my time right around 2,000 ft.  A lot of guys like to hunt the snow line.

Went out yesterday and man was it wet. I was on a fresh set of tracks and he was pooping every 20 yards or so. I really thought we where going to get an opportunity to actually see him but no go. I though about calling but I did not have a visual and didn't want to scare him out of the area.

On a side note, I saw a really nice heavy 5x5 bull in velvet that is going to be a brute

Sunburnt, elk, deer, but no bears.  Saw some sign and one of the biggest piles of bear crap I've ever seen!  Beautiful day in the hills though!
