I have no idea how to compute that. But I'm thinking that .04% chance of drawing both sounds about right.
Any math guys compute those odds?If your odds were 2% for each (?) would it be 2% X2%=.0004, or 1:2500 to draw both?Help me out here....

I called it last year if you draw 1 you will draw the other (bull&cow) the wdfw doesn't want you to have the points for the next year to draw again! I did it and I know of many others that had the same thing happen to them Don't get me wrong the points I had to lose in the hair tag area was worth it to get my bull!
Does anyone know anyone who drew a "quality" and a "bull" tag last year?
If you put in for both & draw both can you decline one & keep yer points?
If I am drawn for more than one permit and decide not to use one of them, can I return my permit and have my points restored? No, the only reasons points can be restored are outlined below. If your situation fits the criteria below and you would like to return your permit and have your points restored, contact the Wildlife Program at (360) 902-2515. You are active duty military personnel and are transferred or otherwise obligated and unable to participate prior to the opening of the special hunt for which you were selected (documentation is required). If you, your spouse, immediate family member, or a group member are hospitalized or under the care of a physician making it impossible for you to participate in the hunt (documentation is required). Landowners within the hunt boundary did not allow access during the time of the hunt (verification is required). When regulations are in conflict and you, through no fault of your own, cannot participate. If technical difficulties occur, that are solely the fault of WDFW (as verified by WDFW), and result in your application being excluded from the drawing process.
I just got off the phone with the wildlife folks, my understanding is true. if you put in for quality and cow and get one you will keep your points for the other.
With 16 points there is no way I'm putting in for both, I don't know why people would risk throwing away any points by taking the chance of drawing both. It sucks that some of those tags are going to waste when it takes so long for some of us to draw. I think they should only let you pick one permit catagory in each species, that might make the odds a little better. just my
