wow 16 points, you must be waiting on "the hunt of a lifetime" I would love to have half that. Maybe with that I could change to luckyjohn. I drew my only cow tag with my first 3 points and ate that tag because of a Muzzle loader problem. After that year (4 years ago) I said never again and have been waiting for the quality bull. I'm 44 now and yet to take my first elk, maybe Ill make it before I cant hunt ever again.

Any math guys compute those odds?

If your odds were 2% for each (?) would it be 2% X2%=.0004, or 1:2500 to draw both?

Help me out here....

Hmmm

  .2x+2(x+.2)=.0004
  .2x+2x+.04=.0004
   .4x+.04=.0004
    .4x=-.036
    x= -900%

Who am I kiding I dont know  :dunno:

With 16 points there is no way I'm putting in for both, I don't know why people would risk throwing away any points by taking the chance of drawing both. It sucks that some of those tags are going to waste when it takes so long for some of us to draw. I think they should only let you pick one permit catagory in each species, that might make the odds a little better. just my  :twocents:

                   Dude if you have 16 pts I would throw in the freaken towel ... like I  said After a certain number points , it should be an automatic permit rather it be 1 st choice or 2 nd choice ........
