Where to buy Bowtech new??
« on: April 28, 2011, 10:24:40 AM »

Can anyone recommend a shop that sells new Bowtechs?
A bud is looking to purchase a new Destroyer 340.
Thanks in advance!

If you are not within 30 miles as the crow flies of a Bowtech dealer, than you can order from Huntersfriend.com  They set the bow up to your specs, paper tune it and give you a sheet with KE reading, FPS per your setup and a whole lot more.  Free shipping too.

I just ordered and received a Bowtech Assassin from them, it's a great deal althought waiting 2 weeks kinda sux

Locally I know Sportco in Fife sells Bowtech and had Destroyers last time I was there.  There is also a Bowtech dealer in Belfair too

Bowtech's website has a listing of dealers, but you will need to call some just have Diamond bows

We're all 30 miles from a dealer. My buddy(different guy) bought a bow off of huntersfriend and had nothing but trouble with their "setup". The draw weight was about 8# too high, timing was off, etc. He took it to the Nock Point and had them get it all straightened out. Not worth the small savings IMO. If I remember correctly, their price was not that much better than anywhere else either.
I sent Cory at XXX Archery a pm...waiting for him to get back to me. The guy buying it doesn't mind driving a little ways for good service.
Anywhere else?

Give Roger a call at WIlderness archery in Bow Washington,  just north of Mt Vernon... he will take good care of you.  www.wildernessarchery.us

:yeah:
Or the Nock point is a great place also, not sure if they carry Bowtech though.

Have you tried Wholesale sports?  Purchased mine actually at SportCo two years ago, they set it up poorly and so i took it to Wholesale sports and had it adjusted.  At the time, Wholesale sports did not have the Sniper in stock, which is the one I wanted.  Oh yea, just remembered, Dicks in Renton had several on order when i was there on opening day.  You could try there as well.

Can't for the life of me understand what anyone would want with a Bowtech except to save money on a bow. I considered one years back and found that Bowtech makes a fairly junky product. Funny thing is though that the Diamond brand of bows are terrific. Hope your freind did a little research first. May i suggest looking at the Diamond brand or Mission ?

Just an opinion , not trying to start a ruckus.

My friend is a research whore.
I don't think he's saving any money either buying that bow...that bow is a little over $800 bare.

Lots and lots of great reviews on the Destroyer bows. I don't know anything about them...I shoot a Hoyt.

I think he found that Wholesale Sports is not a dealer anymore.

Sportco is but they're $100 more than everyone else.

I work at sportco in the archery department. We have destroyers in stock and MAP price for one is 899 that's the lowest bowtech  let's is there certified dealers sell them for to limit competition. But sportco offers a membership for 20 bucks and you save 5% on everything in the store. So you spend 20 to save 40 on the bow plus 5% off anything else you buy. We don't papertune unless asked to. We laser tune just to make sure the arrow is leaving the string level and straight.

I purchased my D350 from Cory, last year.  I went all the way to Rainier, OR to get the best service possible and setup right the first time.  I have had multiple, bad experiences with Rainier Archery and Sportco.  You may also want to check-out Wilderness Archery, up north.  Never been to the shop, but they sell BT and I have heard very good things about them.

Lucky Shot archery in chehalis carries Bowtechs and lots of em. I have had very minor stuff done by them, ( serving, peep tie in, etc... ) never full meal deal but have heard good things. Great range as well. X2 on XXX. I shoot a hoyt so what little work does need to be done to it, goes to XXX.  Just got fresh G- strings and cables.   :IBCOOL:

Well we got hold of Cory and my bud will be making the trek down there next week. Likely he'll be returning with the new 340 Destroyer. He's also taking my Alphamax down for a new set of G-Strings.
