Back in 1995 Dr Mech illegally transported and release Minnesota wolves in Michigan. He admitted to doing this act to a reporter then later changed his story to say no the wolves magically migrated to Michigan. Why do I say magically cause I am a trapper and when canine disperse they follow a pattern doesn't matter if it fox coyotes or wolves they all do the same thing. You see Mother Nature has a build in save the species system where in the case of wolves each year part of the pups are allowed to stay in the pack and the rest are driven off to survive on their own. This is call dispersions meaning the animals are dispersing across the land. But one fact in nature that never changes is how they disperse. The vast majority head into the wind each and every fall. What is the weather pattern in the fall North west winds. So please tell me how the wolves headed south the perfect distance then magically turn east the perfect distance and then magically turn North into Michigan and then once more magically turn east again to spread across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
You see it almost as impossible for the wolves to follow that wind pattern as it would be for them to trap their friends put them in crates and drive the truck across State lines. I was running fox and coyote traps at the time up there and again magically early in the fall of 1994 wolves show up driving the fox and coyote off their territory. Just so happened Defenders of Wildlife magically knew the wolves had migrated into Michigan. Only a person unable to critical think would not see the cooperation was already set up with US Fish and Wildlife Service and Defenders Of wildlife.
I had an ongoing debate with Defenders of Wildlife PR at the time in the local newspaper. Every single think I post came true. The DOW rep called me on the phone and said "We will not oppose hunting once they recovered. The wolves officially recovered in 2002 and today in 2010 it is clears Defenders of Wildlife LIED. The plans was to protect the wolves long enough that now today it will take a major effort to get these predators under control.
The destruction of the once world famous Michigan Deer herd is Upper Peninsula is almost complete. A friend was home for Christmas vacation last year and snowshoe into the family deer hunting camp near the Porcupine Mountains (where the wolves were illegally planted) His words. It was eerily quiet and the lack of game was breath taking. Normal spots where we use to see 100's of deer trails now were totally empty of deer sign after 3 days of hiking in the area I saw only one deer track. It sadden me to no end to see such a barren landscape once teaming with wildlife."
Back in 2005 a hunter called the local radio station and said "After 20 years of hunting in this area I will not be back. Tell the local grocery store the hotel owner the sporting good stores no more of my money well support this community until these wolves are brought under control. He farther state that after 1 week of hard hunting he saw more wolves then deer.
Anyone with common sense knows that if there is more wolves then deer the end result is barren landscape which is in fact what happen. The whitetail deer in some counties of Michigan are now close to endangered species. The surviving ones are now hanging out in the small towns and cities. The wilderness once teaming with wildlife is barren landscape but you can hear a wolf howling. Is that wolf howling worth the price of a barren landscape?
Seeing the writing on the wall the corruption and silent for the deer herd in 2005 I moved out of my beloved home State of Michigan. It was a wise move because there is still no hunting of wolves and the DNR in Michigan is now talking about making agreement with the Humane society of American to make up for the 4.8 million dollar lost in hunting licenses sold. That is right folks 330,000 firearm deer hunters have quit hunting. Why pay for a barren landscape and all the evil corruption inside the Michigan DNR.
The plan to close down hunting is working like a champ.

My producer computer was hacked and the whole film was delete just before the finishing touches and 2 months of work editing the film. Luckily we had a hidden copy store under a fluffy sounding name like Granddaughter Butterfly film. Then issuing a full press release to all Outdoor hunting magazine editors across the nation very few editors bothered to call me or stand up for my film. With the noted exceptions of Tom Remington on Black Bear Blog, North Dakota hunting forum, and Jim Slinky Outdoors. The NRA did a small write up on their web site 2 years later.
The You Tube battle was fierce. What we learned in that battle was the anti hunters had 30 to 156 fake account each. This gave the appearance of superior numbers. They also have full time hackers willing to destroy your computer which they did to mind. Along the battle front a group of us hunters came together and start fighting back. Soon we learn they were unable to keep up with switching all their fake accounts to answer us. Slowly their fraud was exposed. Thousands of people that once supported Defenders of Wildlife left once they found out the truth.

During the height of the You tube battle after my computer was fried and my new computer was double firewall protected my computer was being hit at the rate of 3000 attempt hacks an hour. It seems the spoiled brats on the anti hunter side didn't like their fraud being exposed to the public. Monday November 23 2009 I heard what I thought was a large rock kick up on my vehicle. This not un common on a dirt road. A High Power rifle bullet had hit my vehicle. Ripping the hole you can clearly see in my hood.
I am blocked from sending the picture Scott has seen it.
If this was Deer hunting season it would be easy to dismiss this as a hunting accident. But Deer hunting season was closed. People who have been in the country know you can hear a vehicle coming from a long ways off especially on a dirt road. If someone was out poaching why would he risk a shot and getting caught?

No way that's an accident... that was an ambush.
Plus I live in North Dakota open plains. You can see hunters 2-3 miles away. The bullet shows it was not a dropping bullet from a long distance shot but someone under 250 yards. Only way I could not have seen a hunter in hunter orange on open plains is if it was a person was in camo laying for an ambush.
Does this mean any hunter should be fearful of these terrorist? Not at all these people are cowards and only after the few of us on the front lines exposing the plan the more hunters that join in the battle we well quickly overwhelm them and the public opinion well fall squarely on our side.

local economies, 4) don't have any effect on other endangered species.” Furthermore, 87-1-217,
MCA, requires the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks to manage large predators, including
wolves, with the primary goals to ‘preserve citizens' opportunities to hunt large game species, to
protect humans, livestock, and pets, and to preserve and enhance the safety of the public during
outdoor recreational and livelihood activities.’ Dr L. David Mech, PH.D., H.D.A the top federal
wolf biologist testified in his declaration to the federal courts on May 2008 that there are now at
least 3,000 wolves instead of the 78 to 100 that was introduced in this "non essential experiment". It
is now estimated that up to 2/3 of Montana’s elk herd have been destroyed by wolves.
Now that the wolves have sterilized the prey base in YNP they are turning on Grizzly bears. {swans, beavers, mountain goats, etc.}
This is why Yellowstone & central Idaho wolves are dispersing to Oregon, Washington , Utah and Colorado faster than those folks expected.
