Hunting Spots off 410
« on: July 07, 2008, 12:28:26 PM »
Hey Everyone,
I'm new to coyote hunting - all I've hunted is deer on the eastside so I am interested in figuring out my new calls and maybe taking a few yotes on the west which is where I live. I drove out past Enumclaw on 410 last weekend and there seems to be a lot of huntable areas and clearcuts - anyone know if these areas are open or possibly some good trails to hike in on? Also if any experienced predators hunters are hunting out that way and are willing to show someone the techniques let me know. Thanks.

Speak to the farmers around buckley, enumclaw, and down through orting.  I haven't been back in years to see how the area has grown up, but there were always stands of trees and brush at the edge of their fields that would hold coyotes.  Those little pockets are where I learned to bowhunt blackies as well.
Dreams are forever on the mind, realization in the hands.

Depends on how far up 410 you went.  Most areas you see are walk in only, but the further up you go, you start into Forest service lands and can hunt them for coyote.
